While an old man thinks that his housekeeper is caring for him out of the kindness of her heart, she is really only after his money. To make sure that she does not have to share the fortune, she spreads lies about the man’s nephew, which gets him disinherited. The smart nephew, however, proves to be inventive and shows a film in his traveling movie theater that is a parable on the greedy housekeeper’s scheming ways. She gives herself away and is chased off.
